get Caught. (With the Magician)
Dress up a small stuffed animal

is played similar to the "Hot Potato" game. Play some
music with a good beat and have the children pass around the
Magician. Whoever is caught with the Magician when the music
stops, is eliminated. The last remaining child wins a prize,

Free Magic Party Game #6. Find the Wandering
Wand.
Here is a fun
game which uses a Magician's Magic Wand. You can make the wand
yourself easily or click the photo at the left.. Have all of the children form a circle with one child
"IT" in the center. The "IT"
child must close his eyes and cover them (or use a blind fold).
A Magic wand is passed around the circle as recorded music is
played. When the music stops everyone must put their hands behind
their back and each pretends they are the one holding the wand.
The "IT" child now has to guess which child
in the circle has the wand. If he does so on the first try (or
what ever number you choose) he wins a prize such as selecting
a Magic Trick from a Grab Bag, an Award Certificate, Grand Prize
Ribbon or a best of all a magic "Bag of Trix"®.
When the "IT" child picks the correct person
holding the wand they change places and the Wand Holder is now
"IT"

Free Magic Party Game #7. Do as the Wizard Sez
Here is an adaptation of the very
old children's game, Simon Sez. To make it magical instead
of Simon Sez we use the Wizard Sez. Have all of the children
line up on one side of the room with an adult on the other side.
The adult will say "The Wizard Sez, raise your right arm"
All the children raise their right arm. The adult says, "Lower
your right arm" but does not say "The Wizard Sez"
first. Any child who lowers his right arm is Out. The
commands keep coming until only one child is left and he is the
winner. Other suggested commands are: Raise both arms. Raise
your right knee. Stand on your toes. Turn left, Look up,"
and any others you can think of. If you give out prizes give
out more than one, for instance give a prize to the last two
or three left in.
