Close-up magic is a kind of magic which is completely fascinating, intimate, and fun, with lots of laughter, surprise and spectator involvement. It is the kind of magic your guests will love, remember and talk about for years to come. It will make your gathering come alive and turn it into a real party. The Magician mingles with your guests , performing Close-up Magic for two to six guests (or more) at a time, as they are gathered in groups or at their table if they are seated. Most of the magic is done within 18" of the spectator and many times in their own hands. Being this close to the action makes the magic even more miraculous. If you have ever been to the Magic Castle in Hollywood, this is the kind of magic performed in the Close-up Gallery on the main floor. Mr. Raynor has done over 1,200 'Close-up' shows at the Magic Castle and his picture is on the "Wall of Fame". He has performed in Las Vegas many times. |

A newspaper section is torn to shreds and magically restored 18" away. A card which has been selected and lost in the deck magically rises from the center of the deck. The deck can be inspected immediately thereafter. An american fifty cent piece coin is rubbed and magically reveals that underneath the Silver coating is a real Chinese Coin. It is then magically returned to it's former state. A two dollar bill is crumpled up and when it is opened it has changed into two single dollar bills. A selected card is signed and lost in the deck is magically found in a sealed envelope, in a zippered compartment in the Mr. Raynor's pocket. The ultimate "Pick a card Trick". Four selected cards from four spectators are completely lost in the deck. All four are found simultaneously. What appears to be an lighted electric bulb is magically taken from a spectator's ear and then vanishes. The oldest trick known to magic, (actually 5000 years old) the "Cups and Balls" is magnificently performed. Plus many, many more, astounding tricks done with coins, ropes, cards, rubber bands, balls, silks, napkins and safety pins etc. |
